Anise Hyssop is a perennial herb useful in teas and desserts, fruit salads, and sauces.  This herb has a true sweet, fruit-like flavor and fragrance, making it very ideal for tea.  

Blooms Mid-summer – Early Autumn attracting honey bees and butterflies to your garden.   May be grown successfully in both pots or in very well drained gardens. Height is about 2’ tall

Available for 2016 Season!


The more you harvest, the more it will bush out and produce! Anise Hyssop may be used immediately after harvest.



LIGHT: Full Sun – partial Sun

SOIL: Moderate (well drained – especially in winter)

WATER: When soil dries.  (Avoid watering in the middle of the day as the water turns to a hot steam that can damage most plants foliage)

GROUND PLANTING: Only in very, very well drained.



BLOOM TIME:  Mid-summer – early fall

COMPANION PLANTING: Hyssop is recommended to stimulate growth in grapes, while attracting pollinators to the vine.  Brussel sprouts cauliflower, cabbage.
