Two Different People, But With One Purpose, Part 3 of 3

Two Different Sets of People – but With One Purpose

No matter what the case is, where you are spiritually, or which side of the spectrum that you’re on, your calling is the same.

Luke 12:36-43
And you yourselves be like men who wait for their master, when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks they may open to him immediately.
Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them. And if he should come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect." Then Peter said to Him, "Lord, do You speak this parable only to us, or to all people?" And the Lord said, "Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season? Blessed is that servant whom his master

will find so doing when he comes." (NKJ)

When our Lord returns, we are to be found faithful. We are to be found faithfully occupying this earth; telling and living the gospel for the whole world to see as a witness. Whatever God has put in your heart to do, you do it. Because when He returns, you are to be found faithfully doing just that. Yes, that includes what might seem like the small things. If He told you to go clean houses and be a light doing so, then when He returns and finds you faithfully obeying He shall say “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.” Yes, you might not have stood on a platform for all to see, you might not have been on television. But because you are obedient and remain faithful to it, God was able to touch hearts through you that you might not know until heaven. He needed you there to minister to those people that wouldn’t switch on the television to watch a preacher/evangelist. He needed you to speak to the broken hearted one on one.

But if you are called to be in the public eye, do not shrink away because of fear or doubt or your qualifications. If God has called you, He has every confidence in you. He will provide everything you need to get the job done. He is not calling you out onto the platform alone. He is always there with you to help you every step of the way. Follow the call. You will see a harvest beyond your imagination. You will be a living example of God’s love to many people. Don’t be afraid. Follow God’s leading. He is taking you to the place where you will find the greatest joy and peace in your life. Obey and enter into the life God created you for. When He returns, He will find you faithful to do His will in the earth. He will say to you, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.”

He is taking us to greater heights. Yes, He is always calling us to greater heights than what we “naturally feel” we can do. But we can do it, through Him. We can be found faithful when He returns, by His strength and grace. You see everything He asks us to do is not based and hinged on our strength. It depends entirely on His strength. He is not expecting you to do it on your own. He offers His strength to you so you can complete what He has asked of you. Receive it, depend on it. His strength and grace is always there, even when yours is not. I’ll give you an example.

Our family had bought our farm and we were slowly paying off the debt when in 2007, God urgently told us to pay the last $100,000+ off in two years or less. That “felt” way beyond us! But God had spoken and we obeyed. Daddy worked with almost no days off. He would get up at 12:00 a.m. and make the two hour drive into Nashville. He’d work all day and get home between 8:00 – 9:00 at night. He’d get about three to four hours of sleep. Naturally that is crazy! That should have taken a natural toll on his physical body. But, Dad was able to do it! God provided him the strength and grace to do it. God provided the money we needed to do it. He provided the strength and the grace to do it. We got it paid off within the two year mark.

God can do the same for you. He is ready if you will turn to Him and obey. We can do His will on the earth. We can be found faithfully occupying this world when He comes. Come to Him and be a willing, ready vessel for His hands to work through. Let Him take you and mold you into what He's meant you to be. That could be as doctor, a businessman/woman, a farmer, a teacher or a pastor, an evangelist, or the one that supports/helps those who are out front. By God’s grace and strength, you can occupy the earth as He instructs you to! You can be a vessel filled with His love and kindness. You can be more than who you are through Christ Jesus! Because you are called by God, He has enabled you to run your race with excellence. He has anointed you to do the calling that He’s placed on your life. Don’t shrink back from it! Run to God and listen to the things He has to tell you. He’s reaching out to you with love, not condemnation. Come to Him and He will guide you into all truth.
